REI was founded in 1938 when a group of 23 climbing friends, united by their love for the outdoors, decided to source quality and affordable gear for their adventures. Operated as a local outdoor co-op, REI is known for offering top-quality gear and apparel, expert advice, and rental equipment. Because there are no shareholders, every purchase made with REI stewards the outdoors, supports sustainable business and helps the fight for life outside.

TDAG assisted with digitizing the entire library of REI catalogs, dating back to the first one-page catalog in 1938. We also organized and digitized a vast image library consisting of product images, catalog cover photography, and nature photography used in marketing and advertising materials.
